At first glance, I had my doubts about this series...but I got the first book for free, so I figured I'd give it a try. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down....I actually decided to purchase the entire series. The characters in this series, are so well developed and so realistic that it feels like you know each of them personally (probably because we each know people that are very similar to the characters in this book at our church). The series is about the life journey of Reverend Elmo Jenkins beginning with his stent as an intern at a local mega-church and continues through his hiring on as a full time minister after graduating from seminary. It's full of funny hi-jinks, but it also has it's serious side. It's funny, encouraging, and inspiring all at the same time, and it's also full of great advice from a Christian point of view. Good, clean reading! Try it and you'll be hooked. I definitely recommend it!Product details

Wasn't going to finish but kept getting drawn back until I read them all.
I really enjoyed this series! I found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion! Other times, I was underlining a nugget of goodness so I could return to read it again.
Just a great reading set, I really enjoyed all the novels
I really liked this series. I got the first book free and liked it so much I bought the series. I volunteer in production in a large church so this topic was something I could relate to. The characters were fun and relatable. Hated to see the last book end!
Our whole family loved these books. We have all been involved in churches all our lives and the situations in the books are so very true to life. Since we read aloud, it is particularly nice to not have to worry about bad language.
The story-teller in me is loving this series! Elmo Jenkins is easy to love. Keep them coming. Just buy it!
Fun stories and interesting characters! McMillian Moody wrote with an openness and heartfelt style that captured my interest from the beginning. I enjoyed the development of the lead character - a minister in a BIG church setting. Filled with insight, laughter, joy, and some tears, these books are worthwhile reading. Thanks to the author for listening to the encouragement to have his work published, and thanks to for carrying this set of Elmo Jenkins stories.
